On-Site Assessment
We walk your property with you, measure the tree, check for obstacles like fences or power lines, and answer every question. No pressure, no rush—we want you to know exactly what the job involves before we quote it.
We’re a licensed, insured crew doing the work that keeps your property safe and your neighbors impressed. No upsells, no runaround—just honest estimates and careful removal by people who answer their phone.
Most tree companies make you choose between quality and affordability. We refuse to. Every job gets the same rigging, the same cleanup, and the same attention whether it’s a backyard maple or a storm-damaged oak leaning into power lines.
We take pride in three things: doing the work safely, doing it right, and charging a fair price. That means current liability insurance, experienced climbers, and equipment that belongs on a jobsite—not shortcuts that put your property at risk.
We will beat any written estimate from a licensed, insured competitor within our service area. Bring us their quote and we’ll match it or go lower—because good tree work shouldn’t cost more than it needs to.
We’ve cleared storm-split cottonwoods in College Hill, removed hazardous elms leaning over Riverside garages, and handled lot clearing for Derby builders. If you’re in the greater Wichita area, we’ll schedule an on-site visit—most weeks we can get to you in two to three days, storm damage often same-day.
We’re not a corporate franchise with call centers and middle managers. We’re a tight crew that shows up, does the work, and cleans up after ourselves. The guy who answers the phone is often the same one running the chainsaw. You’ll get to know us by name, and we’ll remember your property when you call next time.
We walk your property with you, measure the tree, check for obstacles like fences or power lines, and answer every question. No pressure, no rush—we want you to know exactly what the job involves before we quote it.
You get a line-item breakdown: removal, chipping, stump grinding if you want it, haul-away. The price we quote is the price you pay—no surprise fees when we finish.
Once you approve, we book a date that works for your schedule. If permits are needed (rare, but it happens), we handle the paperwork. We’ll also let you know if we need driveway access or a gate opened.
Our climbers rig and section the tree in controlled drops. We lay ground protection mats if your lawn is soft, keep debris contained, and chip branches on-site. If a crane is required for tight access or large limbs over structures, we bring one in—safety first, always.
We rake, blow, and haul every stick and leaf. Before we leave, we walk the property with you to make sure you’re happy with the result. If stump grinding was part of the job, we backfill the hole and scatter the grindings or haul them—your call.
A few days later, we check in to make sure everything still looks good. If you saved the wood for firewood or have questions about planting something new, we’re a phone call away.
When storms roll through Wichita—and they always do—we shift into emergency mode. We’ve cleared downed limbs blocking driveways in Delano, removed split trunks from Andover roofs, and helped neighbors in Derby get their yards back to normal after wind events. If it’s urgent, we move fast.
We also believe in doing right by the environment. Branches get chipped for mulch or composted. Larger logs go to local sawmills or firewood suppliers when possible. If you want to keep the wood yourself, we’ll buck it into rounds and stack it for you—no extra charge. What we can recycle or reuse, we do.
It depends on the size, location, and complexity. A small backyard tree with clear access might run $400–$800. A large oak near power lines or a tight space requiring a crane can hit $2,000–$4,000. We always give you a written estimate after seeing the job in person—no ballpark guesses over the phone that turn into sticker shock later.
Most residential removals don’t require a permit unless the tree is in a protected zone or part of an HOA with specific rules. We’ll let you know during the estimate if permits apply, and we can handle the paperwork if needed. Commercial properties sometimes have different requirements—we’ll walk you through it.
We chip branches on-site and haul them away unless you want the chips for mulch. Larger logs can be cut into firewood rounds and left for you, donated to a local supplier, or hauled off—your choice. We rake, blow, and remove every piece of debris before we leave, so your yard looks clean, not like a lumber yard.
Most weeks we can visit for an estimate within two to three days and schedule the removal within a week after approval. Storm damage and hazardous leaners get priority—we’ve done same-day emergency calls when a tree is actively threatening a structure or blocking access. Call us and we’ll tell you honestly how fast we can get there.
Yes. We carry general liability and workers’ comp insurance, and we’re happy to send you certificates of insurance before we start. If you’re an HOA or commercial property, you probably need those for your records anyway—just ask and we’ll email them over.
Call us at (316) 866-1388 or email chopitmatt@yahoo.com. If it’s an emergency—tree on your roof, blocking your driveway, or tangled in power lines—we’ll prioritize it and get out as soon as it’s safe to work. For non-urgent storm damage, we’ll schedule you as quickly as our crew allows, usually within a day or two.
Not automatically, but we offer it as an add-on. Stump grinding costs depend on diameter and root spread—typically $100–$300 for an average stump. We grind six to eight inches below grade, backfill the hole, and haul the grindings or leave them for you to spread. If you’re replanting in that spot, grinding is worth it. If not, you can leave the stump and let it rot naturally over a few years.
Absolutely. We’ll cut the trunk into 16-inch rounds and stack them where you want. Just let us know during the estimate so we plan time for bucking and stacking. If you only want some of the wood, we’ll take the rest. We’re flexible—it’s your tree and your property.
